Snow day... um I mean days

First we got a wind storm...then this crazy snow. You could say we are not equipt for it, but that would be an understatement...everything shut down for three days, school and all!! The kids did'nt mind making a snowman in the backyard with Daddy.

Sleeping Sammy...

What happens when a boy refuses a nap, but still needs one...

Spa's are fun!!

We had a much needed getaway to Alberta. We were able to spend three short days in Edmonton visiting family and friends before heading off to the Banff Springs Hotel for Pastor/spouse annual conference. Eli had three goals...swim in the hot springs, eat snow (not yellow of course), and hear his echo from a mountain top...two out of three is not too bad!!

The Boys loved The Spirit of Hyda Gwai -- We spent 4 hours at the airport, so the carving made good company...

Eli was very excited to taste his first bit of snow when we arrived in Edmonton...Nana was kind enough to explain why never to eat the yellow snow :)

We dug out our snow gear that Nana found for us on our last Alberta visit at the local "twice but nice" . We were able to enjoy some tobogganing (Sammy's first time, and Eli's second.)

Eli (with cousin Bailey) ate "the best chicken I ever had" at the Thann Thann Oriental Noodle House in Edmonton. Some of our fave people, and some of our fave food. Nice.

The boys were very excited to stay in Canmore at Auntie Nessa's with Nana and Papa while we were at the confrence. They picked Ha Ling peak as their favorite moutain, as it looked like "a T-rex hand".

We enjoyed a day at the spa, an amazing speaker, and meeting fellow pastor/spouses including my youth pastor and his wife from my highschool youth days. This is the view from our room.
